A slow upload does not always mean something is wrong.
Large batches take time. Uploading from a USB stick is often slower than uploading from files already on your computer.
This page sets gentle expectations and shares simple ways to make the next upload feel smoother.
A Design Pod is the home for one design: its files, tags, notes, and thumbnail.
Overview
Uploading many embroidery files is normal, and it can feel slow.
Here is what usually helps:
1. Expect large batches to take a while.
2. Copy files from USB to your computer first.
3. Upload in smaller groups.
4. Stay within the 50 MB per-file limit.
5. Do not move your whole library in one go.
We do not promise exact upload speeds. Your internet, computer, and how many files you chose all affect how long a batch takes.
What “slow” often means
Large batches take time. Hundreds or thousands of files need to upload and then process into Design Pods. Thumbnails can keep finishing after the files arrive.
USB can be slower. A stick plugged into your computer may transfer less steadily than a folder already on your hard drive.
Processing continues after the progress bar. New Design Pods may sit in an Uploading area while previews finish. Waiting a few minutes and refreshing the Library is often enough.

Tips for a smoother upload
1. Copy from USB to your computer first
1. Plug in the USB stick.
2. Copy one design folder (or a small group) onto your computer.
3. Upload from that computer folder, not straight from the stick.
This one habit helps many members.
2. Upload smaller batches
You do not need to move your whole embroidery library at once.
Try:
- One designer folder
- One season or holiday folder
- One Shop download at a time
When that batch finishes and the Design Pods look right, start the next folder.
3. Respect the size limits
- Each single file can be up to 50 MB.
- You can include up to 12,000 files in one upload.
A ZIP still counts as one file for the 50 MB limit. If the ZIP itself is larger than 50 MB, unzip it on your computer first, then upload smaller files or smaller ZIPs.

4. Start with a small test
If you are unsure whether the app is working:
1. Upload one small file (or one small ZIP) with the Files option.
2. If that finishes, the app is fine. The larger batch just needs a smaller bite.

While you wait
1. Leave the browser tab open until the upload finishes or clearly fails.
2. After a large batch, check the Uploading section or tab.
3. Click Clear Selections if new Design Pods seem missing. Filters may still be on.
4. Refresh the Library after a few minutes.
If it feels stuck (not just slow)
1. Cancel the attempt if the screen allows it.
2. Copy a smaller set of files to your computer.
3. Upload that smaller set first.
4. Check whether any single file is over 50 MB.
