Your embroidery fonts belong in EEganizer the same way your designs do.

Each font (or font pack) can live in its own Design Pod, with its files, tags, notes, and a thumbnail you can find later.

This page explains what happens with BX and other font files, and how thumbnails work in your Library.

Overview

1. You can upload BX and other font files. All file types can upload and store.

2. BX files convert into a preview thumbnail for your Library, along with the other types listed in our thumbnail guide.

3. You can still add a JPG or PNG by hand if you want a different preview (for example, a full alphabet chart).

4. Tag the Design Pod as Product Type Fonts so it is easy to filter later.

Upload limits: 50 MB per file, and up to 12,000 files per upload.

Fonts live in the library like other designs

A Design Pod is the home for one design (or one font): its files, tags, notes, and thumbnail.

When you upload a font file or a ZIP of font files:

1. EEganizer stores the files securely in a Design Pod.

2. ZIP files are automatically unzipped.

3. For BX (and other types on the thumbnail list), EEganizer builds a Library preview.

4. You can add tags and notes so the font is easy to find.

You do not need a different "fonts only" app. Use the same Library, search, and filters you already use for embroidery designs.

Does BX get an automatic thumbnail?

Yes.

EEganizer converts BX files into a preview thumbnail for your Library.

The full list of file types that get an automatic thumbnail is in Which file types get a thumbnail?. That list includes BX along with many embroidery formats (PES, DST, JEF, VIP, VP3, and more), plus JPG, PNG, SVG, ZIP, and others.

You can:

  • Upload and store BX files
  • Keep them in a Design Pod with tags and notes
  • See an automatic Library thumbnail
  • Download them whenever you need them

Optional: add a JPG or PNG thumbnail by hand

Sometimes you may want a different picture than the automatic preview, such as a full alphabet chart or the pack cover that came with your font.

1. Open the Design Pod in your Library (click the thumbnail or View Pod Details).

2. Add a JPG or PNG as a thumbnail image.

3. If you add more than one image, set the one you want as the representative image so it shows in the Library.

4. Save your changes.

This is optional for BX. It is also helpful for file types that do not build their own preview.

Tip: tag Product Type as Fonts

Default Product Types include Fonts (along with Applique, Embroidery, Printable, and SVG).

When you upload or edit tags:

1. Open Edit Pod Tags (or assign tags during upload Step 3).

2. Choose Product Type Fonts.

3. Add Designer, Category, or Sub-Category if you like (for example, Monogram, Script, or the designer name).

4. Click Apply Tags.

Later, click Fonts at the top of the Library to see only your font Design Pods.
